Frequently Asked Questions
What file formats are supported?
GLB & GLTF Viewer supports .glb (binary) and .gltf (JSON + binary) files. These are the standard formats for 3D models used in games, AR/VR, e-commerce, and web experiences.
How do I open a 3D model?
Tap the file icon on the toolbar, or open a .glb/.gltf file directly from the Files app, iCloud Drive, email attachments, or any storage provider. The model will load automatically.
The model appears blank or won't load. What should I do?
Try these steps:
- Make sure the file is a valid .glb or .gltf format.
- If using .gltf, ensure all referenced texture and binary files are in the same directory.
- Try restarting the app and loading the file again.
- Very large models (100MB+) may need extra time to load — watch for the progress indicator.
What is included in the Pro upgrade?
Pro unlocks wireframe mode, animation playback, HDR environment lighting, measurement tools, AR Quick Look (USDZ export), screenshot capture, material inspector, camera presets, and custom backgrounds.
How do I restore my purchase?
Go to the paywall screen and tap "Restore Purchases". Your Pro access will be restored if you've previously purchased it with the same Apple ID.
Does the app collect my data?
No. All files stay on your device. We do not upload any files to the cloud, track your usage, or collect personal data. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Which devices and platforms are supported?
GLB & GLTF Viewer works on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. A single purchase unlocks Pro on all your Apple devices.
How do I view a model in AR?
With Pro, tap the AR Quick Look button to export your model as USDZ and preview it in augmented reality using Apple's built-in AR viewer. This feature requires a device with ARKit support.
Troubleshooting
App crashes when loading a large model
The app includes memory budgeting to prevent crashes, but extremely large models may exceed your device's available RAM. Try closing other apps first, or test with a smaller model.
Animations are not playing
Ensure the model contains embedded animations. If it does, check that you have Pro unlocked (animation playback is a Pro feature). Use the timeline controls to play, pause, and adjust speed.
